Now, you may want to know what anime is. Anime is—
IT’S JAPANESE AND IT’S LIKE AN EPIC CARTOON, BUT MUCH BETTER AND USUALLY A LOT MORE DRAMATTIC AND AWESOME!!!!!!
Um…sure…close enough… To be more descriptive, anime is based off of a manga, and developers make it into an anime. The majority of manga and anime is made in Japan, and then are translated to English for us to read and watch. Anything to add, Kairi?
…Manga is like a comic book, but longer and with a different style of art than normal comics.
So this week’s manga/anime is…

WHAT’S UP WITH THE REPEATING!?
Anyways…Naruto is a really well known anime and manga. It is easily one of the most popular among most anime/manga fans, so we decided to start out with this one. Naruto is the obnoxious, loud outcast in the Hidden Leaf Village.
IS HE THE EMO, DEPRESSED ONE WHO HAS HOARDS OF FANGIRLS FOLLOWING AFTER HIM EVERYDAY?!
No, Emillia, that’s not Naruto. Naruto’s the annoying one with pink hair.
No, both of you, shut up. Naruto has blonde hair.

I’m not lying. Remember, Naruto, the blonde with blue eyes and whiskers on his face?
Oh yeah! Those whiskers scare me. Is it a medical condition? Is it contagious? I’m scared for my health here!

ANYWAYS, Naruto is the obnoxious, loud, BLONDE outcast of the Hidden Leaf Village. His biggest dream is to become the Hokage—the leader of his village. But to do that, he must first pass the academy. The ninja academy.
YEAH, THAT’S RIGHT! THEY NINJAS!
SILENCE SMALL CHILD OR YOU WILL NOT LIVE TOMORROW! *sigh*Yes, they are ninjas. Naruto is your typical idiot. He’s a complete imbecile, he cannot do anything right, and one of the most obnoxious people you will ever meet.
He grows on you though, so it’s not really as bad as it sounds. Most of the time, the things he does are really funny.
As the story progresses, you watch the… evolution of Naruto basically. Along the way you meet his teammates, Sakura, Sasuke, and Kakashi. Just FYI, Kairi, Sakura is the annoying one with pink hair. Emillia, Sasuke is the emo, depressed one who has hoards of fangirls practically stalking him every day. Kakashi is the three children’s sensei, or teacher, if you want the English version. He has white hair and always has multiple masks covering all of his face except for one eye.
He makes a lot more, but Naruto, the manga/anime, has, like, a million characters.
That’s exactly why I’m only naming those three. Anyhow, you watch/read as he and his friends travel through the lands of the ninjas. Oh, yeah and before I forget, there are five main ninja lands: the land of wind, the land of fire, the land of water, the Land of Lightning, and the land of earth. In these lands, there are 14 shinobi villages in total, but there are mainly 5 of them.
THAT’S A LOT!
That’s…mostly it, I guess…for the basis…
Yeah, it is. It’s a really good anime if you like really action-y things.
