Crooked Stick Golf Club, it might be in a small state of Indiana, but in some cases, it can be the perfect place for the BMW Championship.

1991, this was the first year since it’s building in 1964 that it was able to host a PGA event. It was the host of the 73rd PGA Championship on August 8th through the 11th, when John Daly won. It was a big occasion in Indiana.

Now, after 21 years, Crooked Stick hosted the BMW Championship, in which the top 30 will move on to the finals in Kiawah Island Golf Resort in Kiawah Island, South Carolina. It started on September 6th and ended on September 9th. Bo Van Pelt, a golfer born in Indiana, led going into Friday, with Vijay Singh leading into Saturday and Sunday, but in the end Rory McIlroy winning it and moving on with Van Pelt, Singh, and the other top 30 competitors to the championship.

It might be a while before it comes back, but it was momentous to have it come again since 1991.
